The recommended feed quantities are given per animal per day. For a gentle weight reduction, your pet should lose 1-2% body mass per week. This should be checked regularly and may need to be adjusted by slightly reducing or increasing the amount of feed. Reduce the weight only under the supervision of the veterinarian. For optimal effect, only feed the diet feed. Any additional feeding or changes to your pet’s diet should be discussed with your vet in advance (particularly if your pet is on insulin). Always provide your pet with fresh drinking water.

WEIGHT & DIABETIC CAT DRY benefits

Ginger
The valuable components of the ginger root have a positive influence on the digestive system and an anti-inflammatory effect. Ginger can support normal metabolism and healthy weight management. Traditionally, it is also used to support diabetes.

Gentle weight management
The low-fat, low-sugar recipe helps to reduce the daily calorie intake of adult cats and thus contributes to gentle weight management. L-carnitine can also support a cat’s fat metabolism. Under constant weight control and, if necessary, slight feed amount adjustments, a gentle weight reduction is achieved when the cat loses 1-2 % body mass per week.

More fibre
The high dietary fibre content can prevent begging and hunger between meals, as it provides an increased feeling of satiety. The fibre content can slow glucose uptake from the gut into the blood and help stabilise blood sugar.
